The sooner Obama gets real about Afghanistan...and bugs out the better...
Afghanistan is a lost cause... These people will govern themselves as they have for millennia...without US help...
Any notion that Afghanistan is the "source" of any terror threat to the US or elsewhere is also discredited...and was really just a knee jerk revenge action by the Jerks and War Criminals ...Bush and Cheney.
Its time to put that right wing fantasy behind us...ASAP.
Any further action in Afghanistan will simply destabilize Pakistan more than it already is...and make Afghans the "poster children" for Jihad in the Muslim world...
There is NOTHING going on in the mud huts of Kandahar that the US can't handle WITHOUT an occupation...and killing ever more innocents...
Afghanistan was a Bush Cheney...delusion....
Its time to end the Bush Era fantasies...and get on with real diplomacy and constructive action...like stopping Israel from expanding into the West Bank...
