Another week of frenzy... Or perhaps a week of quite distribution...?
Shocks to the system could bring out the wild side of this market... The inflation data has the most potential to disrupt.
But Bernanke's speeches are also in play... Can, or should, Bernanke try to pacify the markets...or just tell the truth...and let the chips fall where they may.
And would a small lie by Bernanke, at this point, even be believed...?
High gas prices are like a tumor growing on consumption spending...sapping away retail spending power little by little.
My hunch is that there will be a delayed reaction to the high gas prices...which could start coming out in the new data points this summer.
