Krugman and Friedman in the NYTs were BOTH worth reading today...
Krugman has a cautionary warning to Paulson about his new job at Treasury...namely they only like you if you don't cross them... But stooging for the deficits and tax cuts is hardly an honorable job description.
And Friedman notes that it's not democracy, but complete anarchy that the Neocons have spawned in Iraq...
He further opines that any multi-year occupation of this anachy is a recipe for more massacres and war crimes;
This, by an administration that has enough blood on it's hands already to merit a serious legal inquiry after the protections of high office are no longer in effect.
BLAME THE LEADERSHIP, NOT THE TROOPS...
Kudos to Krugman and Friedman for two rare readable op-eds in the Times today....
