Over the weekend, the mainstream "Fluff Media" was filled with polls
showing "women tending for Bush." Indeed, an arua of inevitability
has surrounded the campaign, with nearly everyone now resigned to
DUBYA II!
But consider:
MOST PEOPLE FEEL THE COUNTRY IS GOING IN THE "WRONG DIRECTION."
MOST PEOPLE DO NOT APPROVE OF THE PRESIDENT'S HANDLING OF HIS JOB.
MOST PEOPLE FEEL THE WAR IN IRAQ WAS NOT PROPERLY PLANNED.
MOST PEOPLE FEEL THAT THE ECONOMY AND JOBS ARE PUNK, NOT IMPROVING.
MOST PEOPLE HAVE "GIVEN UP" ON WALL STREET.
SO, WHY ARE "MOST PEOPLE" TENDING TO VOTE FOR BUSH?
I think there is "something else" going on here. Something sub-
conscieous. Perhaps a "war mentality." Perhaps it's religion
and "values." But something is not "clicking" with the American
People.
THERE IS A HUGE "INTELLIGENCE GAP" FOR ONE. THOSE OF US, LIKE ME,
WHO ARE NON-CHURCH GOERS, OR AGNOSTICS, TEND FOR KERRY. THOSE OF US
WHO HAVE MULTIPLE UNIVERSITY DEGREES TEND FOR KERRY. YOU CAN'T
MENTION BUSH IN A UNIVERSITY TOWN WITHOUT GETTING ANGER ON THE VERGE
OF HATE.
MOST OF THE "TRULY RICH" LIKE BUFFETT, SOROS, ET AL, ARE EITHER ANTI-
BUSH, OR PRO-KERRY.
WORSE YET AND PERHAPS MOST TRAGIC; IT'S THE "BUSH DUMMIES" THAT WILL
SUFFER THE MOST DURING A SECOND TERM! AND SUFFER MIGHTILY!
The poor and the "religious" or the otherwise "stupid" will
desperately need the remains of our tattered "social safety net"
during Bush Two. But they won't get it!
It is the "religious" low wage workers who will lose their jobs,
during Bush Two.
It is the low income church goers whose sons and daughters will die
in the once and future BUSH WARS OF THE 21ST CENTURY!
It is the pro-Bush military families, whose war-dead children will
be "snuck back" into the United States, IN THE DARK OF THE NIGHT,
from Iraq, Afghanistan, or ????; WITHOUT PHOTOGRAPHS ALLOWED, OR ANY
OFFICIAL FANFARE FOR THEIR SACRIFICES!
WHAT KIND OF AMERICA IS THIS! I DON'T RECOGNIZE IT!
IN SHORT, IT IS THE POOR, THE ELDERLY, THE WAGE EARNERS, THE MILITARY
FAMILIES, AND THE "CHURCH GOERS" WHO WILL SUFFER THE MOST DURING
BUSH'S SECOND TERM! AND THEY ARE SUPPOSEDLY HIS "BACKBONE" SUPPORT!
THE BUSH "BUBBA BASE!"
KUDOS TO THE GREEDY RICH ON WALL STREET FOR PULLING THAT OFF! NICE
JOB! NICE JOB INDEED!
OR.....WILL THERE BE AN "ALTERNATE ENDING" TO THIS DRAMA?
WILL THERE BE A "NOVEMBER SURPRISE?"
WILL "CONVENTIONAL WISDOM" AND THE PUDITACRACY BE PROVEN WRONG?
ONCE PEOPLE ARE IN THE PRIVACY OF THAT VOTING BOOTH
WILL THEY REALLY HAVE THE "GUTS" TO PULL THE BUSH/CHENEY LEVER;
AND, DOOM THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR CHILDREN AND AMERICA AS A
WHOLE, TO "FOUR MORE YEARS" OF "THIS THING" WE HAVE NOW!
COULD WE SEE ANOTHER "DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN" MOMENT IN AMERICAN
HISTORY?
Well,.....you know something? I think that is EXACTLY what's going
to happen!
