It's pretty hard to argue with Republicans these days, because Dubya has spend the last four years: GIVING AWAY THE CANDY STORE.
Clinton nearly got a hernia doing the macro-economic heavy lifting, often against his party's wishes:
Ending Welfare "as we knew it," and NAFTA were acts of political courage for which Clinton has recieved little credit.
Then came Dubya: And Dubya essentially spent his entire first term giving away the hard won Clinton Achivements! Giving away the Candy Store!
Now, the Republican faithful are in total ecstasy!
And yes, they want EVEN MORE CANDY!
It's hard to argue with tax cuts. I want candy! But why not just cancel ALL TAXES. I want more candy!
Amazingly, I think the Bushies would seriously consider NO GOVERNMENT as an viable option.
