IS PRINT DEAD?

Has the Internet finally killed off the newspaper? See link....

I suspect that it's too early to tell. But one thing the Internet DOES do is is TAKE UP PEOPLE'S SPARE TIME!

It's not really a matter of reading vs. surfing....it's a matter of hours in the day.

Additionally, the 'Net is now the place of first resort for news and information. Why wait for a newspaper? Or even go to CNN.....just go on-line and "Google it!"

And Bam! You have it....

My hunch is that there will be room for print and broadcast and the Web.... Just as TV didn't kill off movies...and the VCR didn't do in the Cineplex...so too the Internet and print will "find their niche."

For LONGER READING most people hate squinting into a computer screen....Books and Newspapers are much easier on the eyes....and you won't need plastic surgery for "squint lines" between your eyes!

And there is something about a book that the Web just can't match.....

The Internet is like a snack...or a fast food fix. A book or newspaper is more of a sit down dinner....

PRINT WILL SURVIVE....BUT NOT AS MEDIA "FAST FOOD"...!
