News of assassination of lawyers involved in the trail of Saddam could be a sign of more bad news to come...
While Saddam may be hated by the Shia, Saddam was surely favored by the Sunnis and other Saddamists of various types still found in Iraq....
The point is that this trail could be very tramatic for Iraqi society...as one group seems to be taking revenge on another. And with the Sunni insurgency already raging out of control, it is doubtful that the new government need or can handle a "show trial" of Saddam.
While a trial of Saddam may satisfy Dubya and the Neocons....it could tear Iraq apart at exactly the wrong time.... THIS TRIAL OF SADDAM SHOULD BE POSTPONED UNTIL THE NEW GOVERNMENT IS ESTABLISHED AND A CONSTITUTION IS IN PLACE.....
Anything else will be subject to complains of illegitimacy...and could embolden the insurgency even more....
