Everyone should be outraged that the Schaivo case has made it to the level of an international incident....these things are usually handled in a dignified way by families and hospitals that does not turn them into media Freak Shows or Political Circuses!
How sad really that the Right to Lifers and politicos like Tom Delay have seen fit to make a political statement at the expense of someone's personal privacy and family tragedy. I blame Tom Delay for this fiasco....
I have suggested that this could be a "Mc Carthyism Moment" for the Religious Right.... The disgust that the public will feel after this whole matter is over will surely taint any argument that the Religious Right would make on other moral issues.
In effect, the Schaivo case has become the "missing WMD" for the right wing domestic agenda.
But, of course, anything to avoid talking about the real issues like health care and jobs....!
