There are two types of jobs in America today.
There are the "peg pounder" jobs and the "personality plus" jobs.
Peg Pounders are "task doers." Task doers perform various functions for businesses like flipping burgers, keeping books, fixing servers and taking out brain tumors.
Personality Plus jobs are "managers." Managers are essentially unskilled except for their ability to "schmooz." Big tits are also an advantage for managers, except for male managers. Managers essentially schmooz other managers, and occasionally talk to the Peg Pounders that "work for them."
Personality Plus managment jobs are very highly paid. Peg Pounders usually earn $50K per year plus or minus $10K. Peg Pounders are JUST earning "their keep," plus benefits like health care.
Recently, I was talking to two "Peg Pounders" who were preparing for their "annual evaluations" by their respective department heads. These "evaluations" apparently were deemed "necessary," despite the fact that both workers have been doing essentially the same jobs for several years without complains.
They were both "allowed" to "comment" on their evaluations which would "determine their annual raises."
My "comment" was that they should take their "evaluation sheet" into the toilet "wipe their ass" with it and return it, thus "commented upon," to their manager's desk.... Hmmmm?
But they exclaimed--we'll lose our health care, the credit cards will default and the kids will have to drop out of college!
Alas, we Americans alone in the world do not have National Health Care.
And debt is a problem now that the Republican Kongress passed our new Bankruptcy "Debtors Prison" legislation.
And as to the kids college?
Well, maybe we don't need another generation of Peg Pounders.
Maybe the kids can go off and start a business, or write the Great American Novel, or just flip bugers as they "follow their bliss" outside of the Dismal Peg Pounder Universe of our sad Suburbs and Exurbs.
Maybe the kids won't have to wipe their asses with their evaluations!
