One of the biggest challenges Democrats have is with
AVERAGE WHITE MARRIED VOTERS...
I call these people, BUBBA REPUBLICANS.
Amazingly, these Bubba Republicans seem to see politics not as an extention of economics, which it really is, but rather as an extention of MORALS AND MORALITY, which it NEVER WAS!
That is the real challenge for Democrats...HOW CAN DEMOCRATS GET BUBBA REPUBLICANS TO "VOTE BLACK" OR "VOTE HOMO?"
What may have to happen is for Bubba Republicans to experience EXTREME ECONOMIC PAIN...this could "sober them up" and get them back in line with the realities of the political situation.
Presently, the working class rural Bubbas are "supporting" the most outrageous looting of the American Economy by corporations since the days of the Robber Barons of the 19th Century.
And arguably the current situation is even worse...because in the 19th Century America was being "built up"...today it is being torn down and looted by INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL which cares nothing at all for workers or national boundries.
Today, International Capital is free to travel the globe in search of ever cheaper labor to exploit...and all Bubba Republicans get for their support is occasional gay bashing and the knowledge that at least he ain't voting with blacks and "God-less" intellectuals!
The Republicans have convinced Bubba that "government is bad" and then they prove it by giving him bad government...and looting its budget in the process!
STILL MANY BUBBA REPUBLICANS SEEM "TRAPPED" IN THE REPUBLICAN CAMP... THEY OFTEN SAY: YES, I DON'T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING...BUT I COULD NEVER VOTE DEMOCRATIC... WHY? MY FRIENDS WOULD NOT TOLERATE IT!
SO IN A SENCE REPUBLICANISM HAS BECOME A STRANGE POLITICAL "CULT" FOR MANY OF THESE BUBBA REPUBLICANS... THEY DON'T LIKE WHAT THEY SEE, BUT THEY CAN'T LEAVE!
They fear voting with the black people and the intellectuals and agnostics and the homos...nevermind that they share the same declining ECONOMIC STRATA with many of these folks.
What is to be done?
First, there is always hope that if things really get bad...Bubba will "secretly" flip to the Democratic side without telling his chums down at the Burger King.
Second, there is a change that some Bubba "opinion leader" will finally say: "The Emperor has no cloths" and the dam will burst for these "trapped" working class Republicans.
Third, there may be a sense that "it's time for a change" in Washington...and everyone will simply agree to forget about blacks, homos and intellectual agnostics, at least one day...on election day.
CLEARLY, LIBERALS MUST DO EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO "ALLOW" THESE TRAPPED BUBBA VOTERS BACK INTO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WHERE THEY NATURALLY BELONG...
AMERICA SIMPLY CAN NOT TAKE MUCH MORE REPUBLICAN RULE IN WASHINGTON... IF INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE US "SERVICE ECONOMY" IS WITHDRAWN BY THOSE WHO "SUPPORT" US CURRENTLY, THINGS COULD GET VERY UGLY FAST.
TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO SAVE AMERICA FROM THE REPUBLICANS, AND NOW EVERYONE SEEMS TO KNOW IT...EVEN ALAS, SOME OF THOSE "TRAPPED" BUBBA REPUBLICANS.
