Dell's "warning" has the Street abuzz...
Perhaps most of us already have a computer? Or maybe a dozen computers! I've lost count of my various computers, laptops, printers, etc!
Still the new improved gadgets are fun.
Just as the build out of the Internet hit some limits...eg Corning, Cisco, JDSU...so too Dell will find that the need for computers is finite, and likely cyclical.
Cisco has been flat-lining at $18+/- for years... The same thing will probably happen to Dell.
In a world deflated by cheap labor...growth will soon be hard to come by. What is truly amazing is the ability of the markets to maintain the float...and to distribute stock the last few years...
That happy condition may end soon...as folks start to realize the the days of ultra-low rates and hyper-liquidity are ending for good...
The Fed has been the elephant in the corner of the room...and alas, it's finally starting to get the urge to "re-arrange" the furniture on Wall Street.
This NEW REALITY will be what 2006 is all about.
