BUSH DESCRIBES "THE ELEPHANT" TONIGHT...

The curious thing about the Iraq situation is that it means so many different things

to so many different people....

To Democrats it's an ill-advised war and a waste of lives and money at a time when there are so many other things to worry about, like health care and retirement pensions...

To Republicans Iraq is a defense industry Gold Rush..with profits to be made.

To the Religious Right we are scourging the evil ones who "hit us" on 911.

To the Kurds it's all about working down the long road to independance.

To the Shia it's about gaining control of the government in Baghdad and using the oil money for the pro-Iranian Shia cause worldwide.

To the American troops...it's a job that is better than the low-wage-no-benefits Micky-D's jobs they were doing at home.

To the Sunnis the election was an attempt to stop the Shia Death Squads maseradeing as "police" or government officials.

And to all Iraqis the election was a hope...that the American occupation would end sooner rather than later...

Tonight it will be all about the "miracle of democracy" in Iraq and the middle east...But yet,

To Dubya and the Neocons it's really about having permanent American bases in the middle east...to "protect" the oil fields...and to control all anti-Israel rhetoric or actions by middle eastern nations.

And to install an Iraqi government that is "friendly" to American interests and Israeli asperations on the West Bank... But alas, that could be problematic after the new government is formed in Baghdad... IF it is ever formed at all...

As a result many people doubt that ANY government will came out of these elections...because it would be too much of a threat to the continuing Neocon occupation agenda.

If anything the elections only complicate the situation because now the Sunnis will have a "Yes But" vote to disrupt the Shia/Kurd "Grab the Oil and Run" game plan.

SADDLY, EVERYONE IS "DESCRIBING THEIR ELEPHANT" IN IRAQ...THESE DAYS

AND TONIGHT DUBYA WILL TRY ONE MORE TIME TO DESCRIBE HIS...
