The Democrats could never be the fearmongers that the conservatives are... Never!
Democrats mostly seek rational solutions to any given problem.
So, Conservatives simply have a "natural" advantage when dealing with the ignorant public...
What is most unfortunate here is that the American media...which used to be dominated by semi-intellectual types...is now the tool of the elites, who would rather keep people in the dark about their real motives...ie greed and economic looting.
Like most "conservative" notions the only way to "defeat" it is simply to let it crash and burn.
Only then will a "progressive era" start up again...and only then will "intellectuals" be invited back into the political arena...

Progressive movements are really very rare...and only arise AFTER the domestic elites have totally ruined the economy and it's political structures...
So, that's were this thing is heading...and no amount of "talking" by liberals, progressives or Mr Dean will change things. Bubba is in self-destruct mode... Get used to it Libbys!!
