MY SENSE IS THAT THE ISRAEL LOBBY AND THE NEOCONS WILL HAVE TO BACK DOWN IN THE FACE OF GROWING INTERNATIONAL OUTRAGE...AND EVEN FACE DOMESTIC PRESSURE INSIDE THE US FOR A MORE RATIONAL APPROACH TO MIDDLE EAST PROBLEMS...
MANY AMERICANS ARE SICK OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION DRAGGING THE US INTO THESE WAR CRIMES SITUATIONS IN IRAQ... AND IN THEIR BLIND SUPPORT FOR THE ISRAELI ULTRA-RIGHT'S CRACKPOT AGENDA ABOUT "BIBLICAL ISRAEL"...OR A GREATER ISRAEL ON THE WEST BANK AND GAZA....AND NOW PERHAPS IN PARTS OF SYRIA AND LEBANON...!
IT BEHOOVES THE REST OF THE WORLD TO COME DOWN HARD ON BUSH AND THE NEOCONS IN THE LEBANON SITUATION...
ISRAEL HAS BECOME TOTALLY IRRATIONAL IN IT'S APPROACH TO IT'S NEIGHBORS...AND IT'S COURTING DISASTER...BOTH FOR ITSELF AND FOR THE US FORCES STUCK IN SHIA DOMINATED IRAQ...
Indeed, one of the great unity factors in the middle east today is the mutual hatred ALL ARABS AND MUSLIMS feel toward the the Bush Administation...and that's a Hell of a way to run a foreign policy! Right out of Sharons dismal playbook to be sure.
