Many Americans now realize that there will be no end to American military action in the middle east, if Israel is setting policy for the US.
The Israel ultra-right is kept hidden from American public opinion through press blackouts... Bias press coverage of the Palestine-Israel conflict is now accepted as the norm in America.
But could this be leading the US down the road to disaster? Of course the Iraq disaster is obvious now.
But there are more disasters waiting to happen... Lebanon is about to be destroyed by Israel with US backing. And Syria and Iran are surely next...even as Afghanistan and Iraq become killing fields for the Israeli supported American Neocons.
My sense is that there is a need for the US to shape Israeli policy in the middle east and guide it toward the peace process. Instead the opposite is happening... The Israeli ultra-right has had a resurgence...and is now dictating policy to the US in the absence of any real leadership in Washington and from the Bush Administration.
Anti-Israeli feeling is growing inside the US...and it will be quite obvious once the destruction of the US backed democratic Lebanon is completed.
