China does not have a dog in the middle east fight at this point.
So could, or should, the Chinese intervene to stop the coming disaster...?
Or is China just content to watch it's best trading partner, the Americans, self-destruct in a senseless war of conquest in the middle east?
I'm sure China is of two minds on this problem.
On the one hand, the US has few real allies in the world anymore...thanks mainly to the Neocons and Dubya being so unilateral and out of touch with diplomatic protocols.
But China can't afford to watch it's trade with the US deteriorate as the American economy is held hostage to a senseless Zionist War over some "Biblical notion" that Greater Israel, should and must, somehow be re-established on the West Bank and Gaza after a 2000 year hiatus!
Furthermore, China can not afford to have energy prices rocket to economy killing levels as is likely to happen during any Neocon-Zionist War of conquest against the middle east.
Of course China has other means to get needed oil and gas...but they will be competeing with the entire world during the war disruptions in Muslim Lands.
IF CHINA WOULD THREATEN TO DUMP IT'S MASSIVE HOARD OF DOLLARS AND US BONDS...?
IT MIGHT "SAVE" THE NEOCONS IN WASHINGTON, AND THE WORLD IN GENERAL, FROM THE HUGE MISTAKE THE NEOCONS ARE ABOUT TO MAKE WITH THEIR WIDER WAR OF CONQUEST AGAINST SYRIA AND IRAN AND INDEED THE MUSLIM NATIONS OF THE WORLD.
IF THE DOLLAR AND THE US BOND PLUNGED ON MONDAY MORNING, AS THEY MIGHT ANYWAY, FINANCING OF FURTHER NEOCON "MILITARY ADVENTURISM" MIGHT BE QUESTIONED...OR STOPPED COMPLETELY.
THE FED WOULD HAVE TO GET INVOLVED, AND RAISE RATES TO LEVELS THAT WOULD MAKE FINANCING THIS "NEW WAR" PROHIBITIVE.
CHINA HAS THE POWER TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM THE COMING WAR...
BUT DOES IT HAVE THE WILL TO DUMP THE DOLLAR...WHICH IS THE MAIN VEHICLE FOR FINANCING THE NEOCON'S ILL-STARRED ILL-PLANNED AND ILL-THOUGHT OUT "ADVENTURES?"
THE BIGGEST CASUALTY OF THE COMING WAR COULD BE THE US DOLLAR AND THE US BOND MARKET.
...NO MATTER WHAT CHINA DOES.
