The battle today between government forces and Shia Militias is likely the first real "civil war" style battle in Iraq...
Clearly, any attempt to restrain the Shia will spark a severe reaction from the Shia Militias...
Amazingly, the recent "lull" in the action in Baghdad and Anbar could have been because the Shia were no longer in the lead...having been replaced by US troops, who are more trusted by the Sunnis than the Shia "government" forces...
And don't look now but the Kurds are acting up in Turkey...just like they were predicted to do... This could be "interesting."
