Now that the disasterous war in Lebanon is over...will Israel go softer on the Arabs?
It could happen...
Clearly Israel knows that Dubya and the Neocons are a losing hand for them in their geopolitical game for the West Bank... Everything Bush and the Neocons have touched has become a catastrophe...from Afghanistan to Iraq to Iran... And now Israel is taking the blame for the destruction of Lebanon.
At some point the ultra-right in Israel is going to have to be dealt with... And the recent debacle in Lebanon could be the tipping point for the ultra right.
Clearly Israel is going to have to settle up with the Arabs AT SOME POINT...
IT DOES NOT APPEAR THAT THE GAME CAN GO ON MUCH LONGER...
The US has played it's hand in the middle east and came up short... The adventure in Lebanon by the Zionists was equally disasterous...
THE TIME MAY BE AT HAND FOR ISRAEL TO START TALKING ABOUT A REAL TWO STATE SOLUTION AND STOP THE KILLING...AND STOP BURDENING THE US AND US TAXPAYERS WITH THE NOTIONS OF "GREATER ISRAEL" HARBORED BY THE ZIONIST ULTRA RIGHT...
Israel could have peace with the Arabs simply for the asking...of course it would require a withdrawal from most of the West Bank and Gaza...but after recent events that option is starting to look more likely than ever...
The US is tapped out... Israel is alone in the world now...without hope of allies or supporters outside of the US... The time for a serious middle east peace could be at hand...
Why? Well, consider the alternatives...
