IRAQ IS FINISHED...

As a nation the "old Iraq" is finished... What comes next will be something different.... Very different...in fact it could completely change the dynamics of the region for centuries to come. I'm sure future historians will have a field day with the "Bush Mistake." Consider:

An independant Kurdistan is a certainty...much to the distress of Turkey...perhaps the US will have to "occupy" the new Kurdistan just to protect it's NATO ally...?

The Shia South is most likely to be under the influence of Iran...certainly not in the Neocon game plan...and the Shia all over the middle east are now asserting their rights from Jordan to Saudi Arabia and beyond.

The Sunni center will likely be trouble...how does it handle the oil money in the north and south...and will the Sunni dominated nations of Saudi Arabia, Syria, etal have an agenda for Baghdad that will work?

The most likely outcome is a regional civil war that will draw in all sides...even as oil and Israel...the original reasons for US involvement in the area become ever more insecure.

The Iraq War was probably the biggest geopolitical mistake since Hitler invaded Poland in 1939.
