China is using North Korea as a straw man to gain a geopolitical credibility...that matches it's new global economic power.
China could crush North Korea like a bug if the North Koreans got too far out of line...
Indeed, sometimes it seems that North Korea is merely a puppet of China... with the Korean "client state" saying things that China would like to say...if it only could.
Or do people in Washington think China really "respects" them...?
This Neocon notion of having US ships "inspecting" shipping off the Korean coast would be too close for comfort for China...
And our little list of "horrors" that Bush & Bolton want to place on North Korea simply makes the US look more foolish and out of touch...since everyone knows the "super-power" is tied down in Iraq and Afghanistan...BOTH of which are spinning completely out of control...
