That should really make us safer...!
Why?
Because we're "killin' 'em over there...so we don't have to kill 'em over here."
Yes, but;
Are we killing the right ones over there...? And how many of them do we have to kill to prevent 10 or 20 of them from coming over here and committing some act of terrorism? All of them? Would killing a million do it? How about three million?
The fallacy of course is that terrorism is "more like" a crime...and less like a fight against an organized state enemy... The best way to fight "crime" is through a stable well organized government...say like in Pakistan, NOT what we have in Iraq and Afghanistan...for example.
Thank God the Neocons didn't decide to send Pakistan back into the Stone Age!
Anyone who can't see the difference between Japan and Germany in the 1940's and Iraq and Afghanistan today is a poor student of history...
And indeed, we have one of the poorest and dullest students of history in the White House right now. This was apparent from "The Moron's" rambling, nearly comical "news conference" yesterday.
The only thing we have going for us in the US nowadays is the hope that we can muddle through the next two years without some disaster causing the "decider-in-chief" to actually make anymore bad decisions!
