Walmart's dismal sales forecast could be bad news for Republicans in the coming election.
Remember most Walmarts are out in rural/exurban areas for the most part...
So they don't really compete with retailers like Tar-Jay or Kohls OR any of the other BIG BOX URBAN RETAILERS...
But Walmart's captive Bubba shoppers are NOT SHOPPING lately!
Perhaps it's that summer gas hike for the F150 that's still eating Bubba... Or maybe the punk job market. And low wages. Or the decline in manufacturing... Or maybe the neighbors kid was killed in Iraq...? Maybe Guns, God and Gays isn't what it used to be for rural Bubba Republicans and assorted "good ole boys"...
THE DECLINE IN WALMART SALES COULD BE A LEADING INDICATOR OF SERIOUS TROUBLE FOR REPUBLICANS WITHIN THEIR USUALLY RELIABLE BUBBA BASE IN THOSE KEY RURAL, EXURBAN AND "FLY OVER COUNTRY" DISTRICTS...?!
MY HUNCH IS THAT BUBBA REPUBLICANS LOYALTY TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ALWAYS WAS A MILE WIDE AND AN INCH DEEP...AND THE COMING ELECTION COULD MARK THE END OF WORKING CLASS LOYALTY TO THE WALL STREET POLITICAL CLASS ON K-STREET!
