The so called 80% solution would turn Iraq over to Iran completely... The fact that our pitiful President "backs it" would not give us a victory or any advantage; but rather make the US a laughing stock around the globe...and especially in the middle east.
The Sunnis are, or were, the natural friends of the west with their secular politics and less religious bent.
The very idea that the US would now abandon the Sunni secular socialists in the middle east; and support the radical Shia fundamentalist...just shows how warped and desperate the "thinking" is getting in Washington...!
Turning Iraq over to the Sadrists would be the most damaging thing Bush & Co. could do...and it surely would warrant presidential impeachment...and possibly an eventual international trial for war crimes...in the future.
