The level of Gloom seems to have increased over the last month... Major pundits are now accepting the notion that none of this Keynesian stimulus may work this time...
But they are staying the course in hopes that something will "kick in"...and this depression will prove to bE cyclical ...and not structural....
The reason Keynesian economics did not "solve" the Great Depression of the 1930's was that the economy was massively and structurally damage...by elite looting....
The problem is that the elites simply will not admit that they are : THE PROBLEM...!
The same thing is happening now... We are stuck with the odd notion that printing ever more money ...for ever more elite looting...will somehow..."solve the problem...."
It won't...
Hence the DOUBLE DIP...AND DOOMSDAY notions afoot in among the pundits...now
No one thinks...this depression is over...or solved...in anyway.
Opinion is divided between the "truthful" double dippers...and the paid whores of Wall Street-- who still tout the Keynsian Cure and/or the Tax Cut Bullshit of the Democratic and Republican political classes...respectively.
At some point there will be a realization that "jobs ain't comin back"...Then the shit will hit the fan...for the second time...
And at some point the inflation scenario will kick in...starting with oil...as they try to print there way out of this mess....
Or perhaps...the tough love of higher rates and higher taxes on the looting elites will prevail...that would be the rational course to take...
Save the dollar and Tax the looting elites...but we ain't there yet....
More paddling with one oar....is the name of the game...for the foreseeable future....
The November election will be a real litmus test...for the political system...
Is the public really buying the Republican/Fox News Bullshit...?
Or...will American Voters see that the Democratic Progressives are the only people doing any serious thinking about how serious the current situation really is....?
As an America Hater...I don't care either way.... Yes, I will push rational the Progressive Agenda...over the Looting and Lies Agenda of Republicans and Fox News...
