Its amazing how easily confused many people are... They simply can not admit that the US economy has been looted to the bone...by the international elites and multi-nationals...incredibly with the help of Washington and the FED...!
The de-industrialization has been going on for over 20 years...and it is almost complete...
An economy based on Walmart wages...will not support an Imperial War Budget...or a middle class life style...
Money is being hoarded by the rich...because of the death of the middle class...there simply are fewer people to buy things... So more tax cuts for the rich...and cuts to middle class "entitlements" will not cure that...in fact...it will make it worse...
I do disagree with Keynesian dogmatics like Krugman who think that more deficit spending will "jump start" the old middle class economy... Because the old middle class is extinct in America now...replaced by the Walmart worker...and the soon to be unemployed public sector worker...
There is a huge structural problem here ...that is still not even being discussed by the opinion elites... And the polarization of the Fox Republicans from the Progressives seems to eliminate any hope of rational discussion...
Likely the US economy will need to crash and crash badly...before anything will be done...
As a Progressive I am ready to give up and turn this mess over to Sarah, Rush, Beck and the others...
At least that way the crash will come quicker...
And the Progressives who are now unable to make the drastic changes that will be needed in the NEW ECONOMY...will be off the hook for the looming disaster.
