The nation is in a horrible mess right now... Progressives have been trying to correct the situation in the face of massive special interest money and lobbying...and with a bizarre political TV Network in Fox News...
The situation may, in truth, be beyond repair...that is my personal view. Some kind of new normal will be needed...and soon. Perhaps Obama should just say this outright...and not get the peoples' hopes up...
That is Obama's real problem now...he is building up false hopes that almost everyone knows will not work...eg "Green Jobs"... Obama is trying to put on a happy face in the midst of a serious structural depression.
After November...if the Tea Party prevails...the situation will get MUCH WORSE...almost immediately...
Wall Street and the rest of the world ...will not be happy with Palin, Paul, Angle and ODonnell parroting the words of Rush, Beck and Hannity...
We will be in uncharted waters after November...prepare for it...
I am ready for whatever happens... I don't care...because I don't see any way this economy can be corrected... If anything...the Tea Party could bring the situation to the end game quicker...
Then we will have no choice but to do what is needed... Immediate Single Payer...Means test Social Security and call it a tax not a "trust fund"...Cut the War Budget...reinstate a progressive tax system...and re-industrialize the American economy even if it means NOT letting the Chinese do whatever "feels good" to them...!
