Whether the Tea Party Wingnuts hate America or are just confused is going to be decided in November...
A lot of Wingnuts simply "can't vote Democratic" for Social Reasons... These are the 3 R's people...they are blocked by Race, Religion or Region...
There are poor places in America...where people vote Republican...simply to "fit in" with their neighbors... Nevermind that the people they vote for are in the back pocket of the Wall Street Looters... They generally call themselves..."Values Voters" ....Progressives call them Wedge Issue Voters...
These people think that politics is all about Morals...and Values...! Which of course it isn't and never was... Politics is about who gets what, when, where and how... Politics is about economics and power...NOT VALUES...!
The Wingnuts are really the dupes of the elites...and that was OK as long as the FED's Serial Asset Bubbles lasted...but in 2008 the Banking System collapsed...
Now the Tea Party...mostly Values Voters...feel betrayed by their leaders in the Republican Party...and are trying to take it over... For what is unclear... Maybe the Tea Party is just Progressivism for people who "can't vote" Democratic... If so fine...
Or are the Tea Partiers just the New Dupes of Wall Street...? And is this Smaller Government, Constitution stuff simply more wedge issue gibberish...yet again? Likely it is...!
I really feel sorry for the Tea Party... They feel betrayed...by the people they voted for...the Wall Street Elites...who told them that it was all about "Guns, God and Gays!"
And it wasn't...the events of September 2008 showed that!
The Tea Party has shown that they can beat Old Guard Republicans...no problem...
November will tell us if they can REALLY beat Democrats and Progressives...who are not as "conflicted"...and thus "less motivated"...
If "motivation" means hate, fear, a sense of betrayal, and anger at your leaders this year... I'm glad not to be in the Tea Party...
I wish them luck...they are going to need it...win or lose in November!
