Hong Kong...shipping containers as far as the eye can see...with loading derricks to match...definately an export economy...
Huge apartment blocs 50 or 60 stories high...massed to the horizon... Sort of Eastern Europe on steroids...
Smog in the harbor makes it hard to see across...from Kowloon to Hong Kong...and the other way around..... roadsides very nicely maintained and landscaped...with tropical foliage.
Hong Kong is a city where people obey the traffic signals unlike Bangkok and Cairo... Very well organized with a lot of westerners here for various reasons...and less chaos than you would expect... Lacking that desperate poor element that you see in Bangkok...
