HOW TO LIVE ON LESS MONEY...

I returned yesterday from a month travelling in Thailand, Cambodia and Hong Kong...

The people of Thailand and Cambodia know how to live on no money...

Everyone "owns" a business...hundreds of people are making street food in a pushcart, "Wok on Wheels"... (Hmmm...Amazon and Ebay?)

Or driving a Tuk Tuk a motor bike contraption... to drag tourists and locals around town...or just having a blanket or table on the sidewalk selling "whatever" ...mostly US "Dollar Store" stuff they buy wholesale... There are "markets" everywhere people gather...we'd call them flea markets...but for most people that is where they shop for everything...food, vegetables, clothes, everything...

Of course population density is high in these "less developed" countries because everyone lives in massive 50 story high apartment blocs...which must be miserable...thus everyone walks around the streets at night...

But these very high density and hugely crowded streets give the unempolyed "street capitalists" a chance to sell something...!

And that very dense "street population" rarely exists in America anymore... where urban sprawl, suburbs and exurbs...and the dominant "single family house" thin out the possible street crowds...

Even the lack of big mass transit in America...in favor or freeways and cars cuts the street population below a critical mass needed for "street capitalism" to work...

The single family house exists ONLY in the US and a bit in the UK... Most people in the world today live in massively huge apartment blocs are are absolutely scary looking to the typical American...

Sooner or later the American long term unemployed are going to go the "micro capitalism" route...its the only way out if you don't have a welfare state...
