On line book sales killed Borders... It will be interesting to see if B&N can survive...as the only major big box book store left standing with the old "pre Internet" business model...
Borders may survive as a Bricks and Clicks entity...that has not been tried on a large scale yet...
My hunch is that with Borders gone...even more book sales go on line...
Eventually the physical "book browsing" experience may only be available at used and independent bookstores still standing...
Instead of bookstores becoming coffee shops...maybe coffee shops will become bookstores...
If not...there will always be the thrift shops.
