Israel will have to deal with the Arab Street without the support of American backed dictators... This could result in more realism about a two state solution on the West Bank...
Which would take enormous pressure off the US to keep invading Muslim countries just because they want something done about the West Bank...
In the US mindset...any Muslim who wants the West Bank settled...and Palestinians to have their state...is considered a terrorist...or close to it.
Additionally Americans need to learn the role of the Mosque in Muslim society...the Mosque is a Social Welfare Agency...not just a "church" or place of worship as with many Christians... This is behind the so called insidious influence of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood...they are simply following normal Muslim charitable practices in their Mosques ....which are really soup kitchens, hospitals, schools, libraries and social service agencies to their members.
The notions of Jihad and the Muslim Califate...are part of Muslim tradition...but they are not practical or even sane... in modern politics...
Hopefully once the various western occupations and paid dicatorships end...the more modern Muslims will be able to control this radical fringe of Muslims Fundamentalists... But this will be a leap of faith...
The west has to learn to allow Muslim people to have their Islamic based states...and identiities...without fearing terrorism from the Jihadi among them...
Once the West Bank is settled...the long process of modernizing the Muslim world can began... But it will never be done by the old method of Western military force, dicatorships and occupation...
Egypt has a long way to go...their problems could be just beginning...
And Israel should be very afraid that the jig is finally up on the West Bank fun and games.
