It was interesting to see how Democrats were "deked" on the 2d Iraq War...
They opposed Poppy Bush in the Kuwait War against Saddam...and it was a Cakewalk with 500,000 troops that kicked Saddam out of postage stamp sized Kuwait without even a fight... Democrats looked like nervous Nellies and Fools...!
Now Fast Forward to Sonny Bush... The Democrats were afraid of "looking bad" again...and piled on to the second Iraq War... thinking it too would be a Cakewalk...and they didn't want to look like fools twice...
What they didn't realize was that occupation is harder to do... As Saddam found out in Kuwait...the occupier is always at a huge disadvantage...
So Democrats jumped on the band wagon for the new war...and of course 911 was still fresh in everyones mind...and "being soft" was not fashionable...
In short...in both cases Democrats zigged when they should have zagged...
