My hunch is that only US backed dictators will fall...not the anti-American anti-Israel dictators...as found in Syria, Iran, Pakistan etal...
Even NATO member, Turkey is drifting toward Islamist politics now.
If the Saudis fall...that will be the end game...
I see this as the end of Check Book Neo-Colonialism...and the Pax Americana.
Which amazingly coincides with the decline of the US in the global economy...and the rise of Asia...
I don't see the revolution in Egypt as being "pro-democracy"...I've seen the people on Tahrir Square...true in better times...
This is the beginning of the end of the Pax Americana "Check Book Diplomacy..."
Democracy is a hard row to hoe...even Americans are finding this out...(See todays news about Congress)
I don't think democracy can happen in the middle east...because nations need a long period of "training wheels" before they can "do" democracy right...
Look at the Ukraine..where democracy is a gang fight...
Sorry but I'm not optimistic...everyone is "seeing" what they want to see in Egypt today...
Even Iran is celebrating today along with CNN and Washington...! Someone has to be wrong.
