Any attempt to "pull the plug" on a terminally ill person...and end their needless suffering...is called rationing...by those who want to destroy America under the current system....
It is almost impossible to "die" in the ICU now...they can keep enough oxygen in your system to prevent decay from setting in... But there is no real cure possible...
Ultimately the organs all just collapse in a cascading way...that can't be stopped...
Usually the patient is massively dosed with Morphine to "keep them comfortable"...ie doped into a coma... And the family is confused and don't know what to do...
Generally the last three procedures given a terminally ill patient...are just milking the insurance system...and have nothing to do with "helping" anyone except the specialists who can bill for them...
