The US economy is basically a Zombie... It doesn't really produce anything...
There is a War Industry but that doesn't help provide healthy growth...just more bizarre episodes like the Bin Laden Story...
Walmart is the biggest business and biggest employer...and almost everything it sells comes from China or other low wage economies...
Did the stimulus "work"...? Of course ...money pumping always "works" to some extent...
The problem is the US economy is like a person carrying water in a bucket that has a large hole in it... Somehow...no matter how many trips to the well you make...nothing seems to fill up...
Its not really a solveable problem by the conservatives or the progressives.. an entirely new economy is needed...one that is sustainable...and in equilibrium in the long run...
Right now...we don't have that...so everything is ad hoc and temporary...moving from one crisis to the next...
Likely only a FINAL COLLAPSE will solve the problem...but that Big One is always bought off by the elites...even if at the last minute... Just to extend the status quo for one more quarterly earnings report...
