If there is a debt default...as the Red States are scheming for...and Washington becomes a useless bankrupt political backwater...
We may start hearing talk about dissolving the Union...and Allowing the South to set up a separate government...an Agrarian Empire like they wanted in the 1860's...
As a Northerner...I would say this time just let them go...
This may sound alarmist...but remember the Constitutional Convention that met in 1787 to "revise the Confederation"...ended up ditching the whole thing...and moving on to something else... Remember great historical events often are not announced by a brass band...rather they come in on little cat's feet ~ before anyone knows what happen... 1914 is a good recent example...and 1939...
I suspect that the Dixie South would still like to dump Washington...if they can't control it... That is really what all this Red State - Blue State nonsense is about...
We are heading into uncharted waters with a major existential crisis looming....probably before the end of this year...
DIXIE MAY FINALLY HAVE KILLED THE BEAST THEY FOUGHT AGAINST IN 1864....
