Obama's biggest mistake was he promised hope and change...and all we got were more Goldman Sach policies...
Obama should have gone for the public option...as a sine qua non...
He could not have gone for single payer straightaway because the Insurance Lobby would have gone ballistic...and we'd have been back to Harry and Louise on Steroid...and stories of Canadians dying in the streets!
The current Health Care law is a Goldman Sachs abomination...and everyone knows it... But it was the best the Blue Dogs (mostly gone now) would allow.
The notion that Democrats are as guilty as Republicans is simply not the case... Republicans are pro Wall Street and International Capital...with no exceptions... Democrats at least try to speak for the working classes and ordinary people...
Republicans have some kind of odd spell on the poor and uninformed in fly over country...
These are the Bubba Republicans...
Republicans provide these fly over types with wedge issues like Guns, God and Gays...
But as soon as the fourth Republican "G"...Wall Street Greed...is suddenly revealed...?
The Republican Bubba Wing lapses into silence.... Then, bitterness against "All Politicians"...as with the Tea Party now...
Democrats will never "win" the Bubbas over...but Bubba Republicans are truly a God Send to Wall Street Republicans...!
The most Democrats can hope for is that they get discouraged and stay home...rather than vote against their best interests...
Very likely Progressives will not be able to get over the Goldman Sach wing of the Democratic establishment...
So we drift from crisis to crisis...and the TRUTH sounds stranger and stranger....
