Keynesian stimulus will not work in a looted Zombie economy like the US has now...
NOTHING CAN SAVE THAT...!
But Keynes does work to fill in the gaps in consumption and demand during cyclical downturns...WHICH THIS IS NOT...
Obama's reliance on Keynesian solutions was doomed to fail... because you can NOT "jump start" an engine...IF THERE IS NO ENGINE UNDER THE HOOD...
Maybe Obama should just have said...WE'RE DOOMED...WALL STREET STOLE THE ECONOMY AND SHIPPED IT TO CHINA WHILE WE WERE CHASING SHINY ASSET BUBBLES...
But that is not very Presidential... And the Obama stimulus did stop the immediate plunge into Depression... But you can't fill a mile deep hole with a 1/2 mile of dirt...!
So the Depression was delayed not stopped by the Stimulus...
NOW COMES THE TEABAGGERS...WITH THEIR TRILLIONS IN CUTS...
This is like throwning gasoline on a fire...
After this DEBT DEBACLE happens...WITH ITS MASSIVE BUDGET CUTS...
LETS CALL THIS "NEW ERA" THE "TEA PARTY DEPRESSION"...
BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WILL BE...
