General stupidity has a big role in the Tea Party... They really are not thinking beyond their own group think... And they are burdened with a lot of misinformation from AM Radio and Fox...
Public policy has to take into account everyone's interests...not just your own interests...however misunderstood...
For example...many Tea Partiers want the Government OUT OF their Medicare...
Or are against "entitlements" but don't want Social Security touched...
You really can NOT deal with that level of stupidity...RATIONALLY...
Civil discourse ASSUMES that everyone has their facts straight...and aren't under some delusional version of the "truth"...as being pushed by Fox or AM Hate Radio...
Fox "manufactures" TRUTH...via the BIG LIE FORMAT... Constantly repeating something to their gullible audience...until people assume its true...
Basically take Fox and AM Hate Radio out of the mix...and most rational people would still be somewhat correctly informed...about whats happening...
