Republicans have been totally captured by Fox...and to some extent AM Hate Radio...in particular Rush...
Fox is a powerful force in the media because they present politics and "the news" as an entertaining FREAK SHOW... And this attracts the eyeballs of the uninformed...and under-educated who..."never watched the news" before...
CNN was and is still boring...CNN presents the "news" more or less straight...and they avoid the fist fights that Fox uses daily to get their eyeballs...and advertising...
PRIOR TO FOX... More or less rational and academic policy discussions prevailed... Many of these where "too intellectual" for many...especially the religious in fly over country...and these people apparently "resented" that...
FOX HAS "GIVEN VOICE" TO CRACKPOT...UNINFORMED OPINION...IN A BIG WAY...
And during the current economic depression...that is the worst time to start listening to the crackpots and uninformed...
It may even be wrong to call Fox ..."Fascist"... Frankly they don't care what they say or do...as long as it attracts eyeballs...
AMERICA IS IN AN EXISTENTIAL COLLAPSE...CAUSED MAINLY BY THE LOOTING AND OFF SHORING OF CAPITAL...BY WALL STREET...
This was the worst possible time for Fox to chime in with their advertising agenda ...
Yet...through the power of the cable media stage...Fox as TOTALLY CAPTURED THE REPUBLICAN PARTY LOCK STOCK AND BARREL...
THAT IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE WORKED OUT IN 2012...
It is unlikely...that a majority of voters will follow the Fox Republicans and their Fox "media masters"... But we will not know until after the 2012 election...
No matter who is elected...this economy is in total collapse...only the massive printing of money for Wall Street by the FED...has temporarily masked the true nature of the collapse...which is really unprecedented in history...because it was deliberately caused by the Wall Street Capitalists...who are now decamping...enmass... to Asia and other low wage economies...
