I was in Tahrir Square just before the riots...when it was just a hard place to cross over to the Egyptian Museum...
And there were already small demonstrations in Tahrir...usually surrounded 3 deep by police... That's how they "do it" in Cario... There was tension in the air...but its not like you can't get away from the trouble spots... You just keep moving ASAP...away from the police...
But remember Muslim nations are hard to govern...its like herding cats...everyone...old or young ....thinks he is the big expert about everything...
Sort of like our Teabaggers...big experts about everything...!
They are mostly young...and everyone thinks they know best...
Muslims are very nice family oriented people...And they would really get on well with our evangelicals...! Their "famliy values" are really very similar...for example...the the wife must "obey" the husband...but the husband must work hard to support the wife...and the kids...
I don't think you can govern these Muslim nations...with a velvet glove...especially now with the world economy collapsing...
Someone needs to be in charge...for better or worse... Hopefully they will pick up the garbage and keep the roads open...
But that is about all you can expect from any government...
