Why does Social Security and Medicare...which are probably the most important programs for ordinary people...have to be 'SELF FUNDED' ...mostly on the backs of workers making under $100,000 per year...
...THE MEGA RICH drop out of the funding above $100,000...for some reason...YET the MEGA RICH HAVE MOST OF THE INCOME NOW...!
EVEN WHILE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE FEDERAL BUDGET COMES FROM GENERAL TAX REVENUE...?
CONSIDER:
The War and Weapons budget at the Pentagon...is massively wasteful and actually useless...they haven't "won" a war in 60 years...! And the US spends more on weapons and war than all the other countries combined... YET THOSE HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS ANNUALLY...COME FROM GENERAL REVENUE...!
Just "right sizing" as Wall Street likes to say...WAR AND WEAPONS SPENDING...would solve the Social Security and Medicare problem immediately...
