The public sector union pensions where granted during the Bubble Era...and are solely dependent on the TAX BASE...
Private sector workers simply make less money now... Public Sector Unions are like Wyle Coyote...who runs off a cliff but doesn't fall until he looks down..!!

YOU CAN'T SUPPORT $50 PER HOUR TEACHERS AND COPS...WITH A PRIVATE SECTOR WORK FORCE MAKING $15 DOLLARS PER HOUR...!
AND THAT DOESN'T EVEN CONSIDER THE HOUSE PRICE CRASH...WHICH HAS FURTHER REDUCED THE PROPERTY TAX BASE...
I am a Progressive...but for the private sector...not for the bloated public sector unions...
Unless and until...the private sector Depression is ended...the public sector will be on the wrong side of history... In truth...there should never have been allowed public sector unions...

Because they are MONOPLOY UNIONS... There is only one police force in a city...one school district and one water department...
THAT IS A MONOPLY...and worse it is a public safety monopoly...with the power to blackmail the electorate!
