Recent comments, by Obama backer, Mayor Booker on negative political ads...see link ...were part of the standard MSM lament about the role of negative ads...etc etc...coming "on both sides"...
It was part of the 'false equivalency' fallacy ....that "both sides do it" ...etc etc...
Actually you can't compare Fox News with NPR or CNN ...on the negativity scale...
Fox is off the charts on negativity...and gets lots of hyped up eyeballs for their insane rants...mostly uninformed or uneducated people who like that kind of mud-slinging...
Ann Coulter and Michele Malkin...can't be made the "equivalent" of Paul Krugman or Freid Zacharia on CNN...
Progressives just don't "rant well"...and worse in a screamfest...THEY WON'T SCREAM DOWN THE CRAZY PERSON IN FRONT OF THEM...THEY JUST STOP TALKING AND LET THE RANTER CONTINUE...
SCREAMING is just not who they are...
BUT EVERYONE ON THE CRACKPOT WING NUT SIDE...DOES IT...!
