Polygamy is quiet wide spread in some parts of rural Utah... The reason given for not "going after it"...is that the county sheriff and the county judge are both Polygamists...!
Usually this can be covered up with ...one "legal" marriage...and a bunch of "friendships" and live in females...who have no legal status...but are simply present...
Actually this was the practice in Muslim nations that allowed polygamy...there was always one "principal wife" or favorite...the others being merely "The Harem"...as with Mumtaz Mahal of Taj Mahal fame...
Polygamy is probably just as "normal" as gay marriage...net-net...both are abhorred by conventional western religions.....
But both can be accomplished "de facto" by simply "shacking up"...without benefit of an official paper with the county seal on it....!
