The Chinese can make anything cheaper and better than America now... Get used to it...and plan from there...
Either we have no real production inside the US...or we have tariffs...and pay the price for that...
In the old daze...Republicans and American corporations loved tariffs...Republicans were the high tariff party until the 1950's...!
BUT THAT WAS BACK WHEN THERE WERE REAL "AMERICAN COMPANIES"...
TODAY... THEY ARE ALL INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES...WHO JUST HAPPEN TO BE IN AMERICA...(FOR NOW)
BUT THAT IS CHANGING AS MORE AND MORE MOVE THEIR HEADQUARTERS OFF SHORE...TO ASIA...TO BE NEARER TO THEIR FACTORIES AND DISTRIBUTION CENTERS...
Frankly...International Companies don't care about Americans...they are hoping that the rise of Asia...China and India will pick up the slack from the defunct American customer...
AND ASIANS ARE SHOPPERS...THEY LOVE TO SHOP AND THEY ARE VERY BRAND CONSCIOUS...THEY LOVE STATUS BRANDS...!
I personally don't "get" the Asian shopper... But then I don't "get" "Hello Kitty" either...!
