America is an oligarchic plutocracy... and will remain that way as long as the stupid can be duped by elites spending money...on "news" outlets like Rush, Fox, Tout TV...etc
The elites have always had that advantage... But every so often...things get so bad...that even money can't control events... We are not there yet...
But it should always be remembered that Law and Order and "Civil Society"...are a very thin veneers that hold a nation together...
Even in Lybia...it is doubtful that more than 10% of the people took part in the Revolt... Look at Egypt...Mubarak is moping in a jail cell now...the Great Leader supported by the West...
The point being ...that peace and stability are very fragile things...and should not be taken for granted...
