Perhaps there is a Moriarty Complex...as in the Sherlock stories...where a brilliant member of the elite decides to become Pure Evil...because of some real or imagined set back...?
Note...that the shooter's name is "Holmes"...as in Sherlock Holmes... So he must have been aware of the Moriarty Complex...
And what are the Batman stories ...perhaps a modern rewrite of Doyle's stories of Good vs. Evil...OF HOLMES vs MORIARTY...! Could this event have been a "lab experiment" in the nature of Pure Evil...?
Or... will it be just another case of sudden and severe psychosis...which can and often does strike highly intelligent people...often without warning?
