Obama did everything by the economics textbook...and so did the FED to stop the Bush Depression...
The problem was that this was a collapse of epic size... the Depression was deep...and still is.
It will be interesting to see Romney's policies after his election...
He will win...Because he has a 85% lock on the white, married older less educated vote...which is huge!
Obama can not win with gays, blacks, Hispanics, "Educated Voters" and Intellectuals...there are not enough of them...
No real economist believes that Republican Ideas will do anything EXCEPT make a bad situation EVEN worse...MUCH WORSE...!
You could argue that Republican policies make the ultimate existential collapse and street rioting happen QUICKER...
AND IS THEREFORE "GOOD"...
The odd thing...is that Romney is telling people straightaway...
