It came to me last night, flash of insight. Yeah, again!
Suddenly, the jobs situation was crystal clear to me.
THE US ECONOMY IS NOT RECOVERING "DESPITE" LOW JOB CREATION!
THE US ECONOMY IS RECOVERING "BECAUSE" OF LOW JOB CREATION!
We have finally achieved FREE TRADE NIRVANA!
Like Keynes said about his economics, in the long run we are all
dead. And, of course, Keynes had heart disease so bad, he was right
on the money in his case.
So too, Free Trade has now achieved the "Keynesian Long Run!"
THE US ECONOMY HAS BECOME, PURELY AND SIMPLY, A FREE TRADE NIGHTMARE!
EVERY KNOWN PROBLEM IS NOW "STRUCTURAL."
Indeed, Greenspan's job description seems to be:
TO PRODUCED 20% ASSET INFLATION FOREVER, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, AND
NO MATTER WHAT!
WE ARE ALL GOING TO LIVE OFF OF ASSETS, NOT WAGES NOW!
ARE WE ALL FINALLY LIVING "INSIDE" ONE OF DUBYA'S SMALL MINDED
NIGHTMARES?
Alas, it would appear so.
Even Greenspan has predicted jobs will "kick in" soon.
But no one knows from where! It's almost like in "Waiting for
Godot."
INDEED, THE US ECONOMY HAS BECOME LIKE THEATRE OF THE ABSURD in many
ways!
Are these jobs going to spring full grown from the forehead of Zeus,
(aka Greenspan); DEUS EX MACHINA?
How will these jobs be created, when even today 80% of corporate
leaders are planning more off shoring and more outsourcing?
But a cynic might say the US economy is already producing jobs!
JUST NOT JOBS IN THE US! And, they would be right.
CLEARLY, THE JOBS MIRACLE HAS TO KICK IN BIG TIME, AND SOON IF DUBYA
IS TO AVOID A LANDSLIDE DEFEAT IN NOVEMBER.
BECAUSE;
IT'S ABOUT JOBS, STUPID!
